Upcoming Event: Softball versus Utah Valley on October 2, 2025 at 4 p.m.

Maggie Livreri is entering her seventh season on the University of Utah softball coaching staff and second as associate head coach.
Specializing in player development, Livreri has had a profound impact on the team's hitting. In 2017, Utah finished 16th nationally in team batting (.318), 17th in scoring at 5.9 runs per game and 22nd in on-base percentage (.393).
Two-time Pac-12 Player of the Year Hannah Flippen led the conference with a .424 batting average and also became Utah's first three-time NFCA All-American and four-time All Pac-12 honoree. She also finished atop the league with a .513 on-base percentage and second in slugging (.728). She also finished among the top 10 in the Pac-12 in runs, hits and runs batted in.
Fellow Ute Anissa Urtez, a three-time All Pac-12 selection, finished third in the conference with a .410 batting average. She also finished fifth in runs batted in and 10th in on-base percentage. For her efforts, Urtez was also named to the Mexican National Team.
Alyssa Barrera made the short list of finalists for the 2017 Schutt Sports/NFCA Division I National Freshman of the Year award and finished among the top 10 in the Pac-12 in batting average and runs scored. She was also one of the five most difficult batters to strikeout in the conference on her way to All Pac-12 and All-Freshman Team honors.
In 2015, Livreri helped Kate Dickman rank third in the conference with a .448 batting average, while recording career-highs in doubles (20), home runs (9) and total bases (124). For her career, Dickman finished with a school-record 61 doubles and ranked among the top five all-time in batting average, runs scored, hits, triples and runs batted in.
In her work with Utah catchers, Livreri helped turn Kelly Martinez and Shelby Pacheco, into two of the most feared backstops in the Pac-12. Martinez was named to the Pac-12 All-Freshman Team and All-Defensive Team in 2017 after throwing out 14 base runners, tops among conference catchers.
Pacheco was named to the Pac-12 All-Defensive Team for a second year in a row in 2016 as she threw out 15 base runners. That total was not only the best for an individual, but more than any other team in the Pac-12.
Livreri was previously an assistant coach at UNLV from 2009-11 after spending the 2007 and `08 campaigns as a volunteer assistant coach. The Rebels went 153-126 (.548) with Livreri on the bench, including an NCAA Tournament appearance in 2009.
The Las Vegas native played two years at UNLV (2005-06) and despite only suiting up for a couple of years, Livreri made a significant impact on the program. She finished ninth in the school record books in career RBI (75) and eighth in career walks (60).
She played one season in the Italian Professional League for Nuoro after completing her intercollegiate playing career.
Livreri earned a bachelor's degree from UNLV in University Studies in 2006 and obtained her Master's in Higher Education Leadership in 2008.
