SALT LAKE CITY-- -
The Utah Athletic Department's Crimson Club Athletic Fund (CCAF) kicked off its `U Be Counted' Campaign today with the goal to increase membership.
The cornerstone of the campaign is to demonstrate the many ways in which people can help support Utah's student-athletes. The `U Be Counted' membership drive will raise funds for tuition, housing, travel, books, uniforms, medical care and other necessities. The theme is that every donor makes a difference in a student-athlete's life.
"The Crimson Club Athletic Fund allows all fans to support our athletic teams. Any fan, any donation helps the department grow and be successful," said Utah Director of Athletics Dr. Chris Hill.
"We are optimistic about our fresh ideas regarding CCAF membership and we want to produce enthusiasm and buzz within the community," added Cory Meyer, Director of Annual Giving. Meyer said that the CCAF hopes to add 500 new members in the `U Be Counted Campaign' to increase its membership to 6,500.
