SALT LAKE CITY--

Arizona's recent NCAA Baseball Championship gave the Pac-12 nine NCAA Championships in 2011-12--more than any other conference. It marks the 11th time in the last 12 years that the Pac-12 has led or tied all conferences in NCAA championships won. The Pac-12, also known as the Conference of Champions, has now won record total of 451 national team titles all time, which is nearly 200 more than its closest competitor (the Big Ten).

Our goal at Utah is to add to the Pac-12's total and to our own tally of 20 NCAA Championships. Competing at the highest level is why people like women's basketball coach Anthony Levrets, seen in this video, encourage all Utah supporters to contribute to the Excellence Fund.

The Excellence Fund provides us resources to enhance recruiting budgets to attract the best student athletes, retain good coaches with competitive compensation, meet the commitment of approximately $5 million per year in grant-in-aid scholarship costs, upgrade support services such athletic training and sports medicine, strength training, and academic support, and much more.
