SALT LAKE CITY – The University of Utah women's basketball program has added NJCAA First-Team All-American shooting guard Tilar Clark to its roster, Head Coach
Lynne Roberts announced Monday. Clark will have two years of eligibility remaining with the Utes.
"We are really excited to have Tilar join our program," Roberts said. "She was highly recruited and comes from one of the best junior college programs in the country at Salt Lake Community College. I believe Tilar is going to be able to come in and bring instant offense for us. She can really shoot the ball, rebounds well and has the competitiveness that is necessary to be successful in the Pac-12 [Conference]."
Clark was a First-Team All-American at SLCC during the 2015-16 season and was also named the Scenic West Athletic Conference Co-Player of the Year and named to the NJCAA All-Tournament team.
Clark, an Idaho Falls, Idaho native, scored averaged 16.0 points per game to lead the Bruins to a 31-3 mark last season as well as a berth in the NJCAA National Tournament. Clark also led SLCC in steals (2.2 per game) and rebounds (6.5 per game).
"We couldn't be happier for Tilar," SLCC Head Coach Betsy Specketer said. "She had a great year for us and we're thrilled that Utah recognized her talent as a student-athlete. She is a long guard who is a great target in the open floor and can run the floor. She will thrive in Utah's dribble-drive system."

Clark averaged 6.7 points and 3.1 rebounds per game during her campaign with the Aggies and shot 34.8% (71-of-204) from the field, 23.0 percent (17-of-74) from 3-point range and 58.9 percent (43-of-73) from the free throw line.
