Head Coach Kyle Whittingham:
We didn't finish those first couple drives, but we ended up finishing much better than we started.
Just better execution.
It was nice to see us get some efficiency in the run game. I thought we ran the football pretty well.
The defense played very well most of the night. Ten sacks and three takeaways, so good things
there.
On running back by committee:
Tonight it worked well. They all contributed, put the ball on the ground one time, which we have
to get fixed. But as far as just the rushing of the football with those three guys, I thought they all
did a nice job.
Very encouraged with the play of our defense. We've got some ballhawks back there. I think we've
picked off six balls this season, so were on pace to have another good year in the back end.
We thought going into the season we were real good up front, and we expected that. I'm not going
to say we expect 10 sacks every week, but we expect to have an impact on the game with our
defensive line and they came through tonight. They performed.
On Kenny Potter:
We didn't struggle schematically, we just missed a bunch of tackles. That's a bit different. I thought
we played a little more disciplined tonight defensively, but we did give up to many yards in the QB
run game.
