On Thorson: Returned to Utah for 2010 after accepting an invitation to join the U.S. Ski Team following the 2008 season, becoming one of just a handful of collegiate alpine skiers to reach the U.S. Ski Team in the past 30 years ... was ranked 89th in the world in the slalom in the final FIS points of the 2007-08 season ... a two-time first-team All-RMISA selection and two-time NCAA Championships qualifier ... was the top overall men's alpine NCAA qualifier in 2008 and nearly won the slalom at the NCAA Championships.

2010: Ran in six races before being sidelined by a recurring knee injury ... best finish was the Utah Invitational, placing 12th in the slalom and 17th in the giant slalom.

2009: Competed sparingly for the U.S. Ski Team after a knee injury.

2008: Was the top overall men's alpine NCAA Championships qualifier, finishing first in the slalom standings ... although he had the best overall time at the NCAA Championships in the slalom, he was disqualified after hooking a gate ... was 25th in the giant slalom at NCAA's ... first-team All-RMISA ... had two slalom wins during the season, at Western State and New Mexico ... third in the slalom at the Utah Invite ... best finish in the GS during the season was 10th, done at Western State and in the makeup qualifying race ... also had a 12th place GS finish in the NCAA Western Regional ... named to the ESPN The Magazine Academic All-District At-Large second-team ... spent the fall training in New Zealand, winning the GS title at the 2007 Australia-New Zealand Cup.

2007: NCAA Nationals qualifier ... first-team All-RMISA selection ... first in the GS at the Utah Invitational ... first in the slalom at the Utah Invitational ... competed in the World University Games, finishing second in the combined standings ... fifth in the GS at the Denver Invitational ... placed third in the GS in the Montana State Invitational.

Beyond Utah: Placed first at FIS U Interkrems ... 2005 Hungarian National Champion in slalom, runner-up in giant slalom ... all-state alpine skier for Mahtomedi (Minn.) High School ... also skied at Rowmark Academy.
