SALT LAKE CITY - Senior Ryan Wilson and sophomore Ana Kobal earned RMISA Alpine Skier of the Week honors, the organization announced recently.

Wilson tied for third in the giant slalom at the Utah Invite in Loveland, Colo., on Feb. 6 for his first podium finish of the season and the seventh of his career. Wilson then finished 11th in the slalom race on Feb. 7.

"I am very excited to see Ryan putting up these results right now," Utah Director of Skiing Kevin Sweeney said. "Scoring well in both disciplines is our goal and Ryan is charging. This is extremely motivating for the entire team."

At the New Mexico Invitational in Red River last weekend, Kobal finished third in the first slalom race on Feb. 9 and finished as the runner-up in the second slalom race on Feb. 10. She has been on the podium four times in 2013 and fifth or better five times this season.

"Ana has just been skiing rock solid this season," Sweeney said. "I am super impressed with how well she has adjusted to the environment of collegiate ski racing."

Up next for the Utes is the RMISA/NCAA West Region Championships on Feb. 22-24 in Bozeman, Mont.
