SALT LAKE CITY - The Utah ski team had 10 skiers named to the All-Rocky Mountain Intercollegiate Ski Association team, led by four first-team selections.
"Outstanding results and consistency have allowed us to have a significant presence on this year's All-RMISA team," Utah Director of Skiing Kevin Sweeney said. "It is especially impressive to have selections in each discipline. This is a huge recognition and I congratulate our team members on this accomplishment."
The Utes had a pair of first-team honorees in women's alpine in Kristiina Rove and Chloe Fausa. Rove, who was also the RMISA women's alpine MVP, has two wins this year, six podium finishes and nine top five finishes. Fausa also has a pair of victories with three podium finishes and eight top-10 finishes. Ana Kobal was a second-team selection. She has six top-10 finishes this year.
Mark Engel was a first-team selection in men's alpine. Engel has three podium finishes and five top-five finishes this year, along with a race win. Andy Trow was named to the second team after five top-10 finishes this year.
Three skiers earned second-team nods in men's nordic - Niklas Persson, Oscar Ivars and Noé Bellet. Persson has one win this year and also finished in the top 10 in all of Utah's 10 races. Bellet had eight top-10 finishes while Ivars had three top-three runs and four total top 10's.
Utah hosts the NCAA Championship from March 5-8 at Park City Mountain Resort and Soldier Hollow Resort.
