PULLMAN, Wash. - Utah Women's Swimming and Diving collects their third-consecutive victory with a win against Washington State at Gibb Pool. The Utes beat out the Cougars 157-105 to wrap up the regular season.
Utah relays continue to dominate the pool. Traycie Swartz, Guiliana Gigliotti, Petra Soininen and Samantha Zuch teamed up for the 400 free relay win in a Gibb Pool-record 3:26.59. Swartz Ligeza, Treasa Ring and Maddie Jamora brought home the win in the 200 medley relay (1:43.36).
Ligeza led the Utes individually, topping the 100 breast (1:04.16), 200 breast (2:19.92) and 400 IM (4:26.56).
Swartz snagged two individual wins of her own, earning an NCAA `B' cut time in the 100 back (54.99) and topping the 100 free (50.60).
Zuch added two distance-freestyle wins, one in the 1000 free (10:09.22) and the other in the 500 free (4:59.15).
Soininen contributed a win for the Utes in the 200 fly (2:02.92), while Ring was right behind in second (1:06.34).
Gigliotti and Jamora took the top two slots in the 50 free, touching in 24.13 and 24.15 respectively.
LeighAnne Oliver grabbed second in the 500 free (5:09.44), while Soininen did the same in the 100 fly (56.00).
The Ute women look forward to the Pac-12 Championships taking place in Federal Way, Wash., Feb. 27-March 2.
