LAS VEGAS, NEV. - Facing UNLV and the University of Calgary at Buchanan Natatorium, the Utah women swept the competition, beating the Rebels 167-126 and the Dinos 148.5-124.5. The men came away with a split, beating the University of Calgary (154-135), while falling to UNLV by a three-point margin (149-146).
Nick Soedel led the Utah men with a sweep of the freestyle sprints, grabbing titles in the 200 free (1:39.80), the 100 free (44.78) and the 50 free (20.58).
Tracyie Swartz also contributed three individual wins, topping the 100 back (55.27), the 50 free (20.58) and the 100 free (51.12).
Nicole Ligeza comes home with two second-place finishes: one in the 100 breast (1:04.10) and the other in the 200 IM (2:04.37).
Bjorn Gunnarsson placed second in the 50 free (20.75) and third in the 100 free (45.58).
Soedel, Gunnarsson, Alexandre Fernandes and Kron teamed up in the 200 free relay to take the crown with a time of 1:22.43.
In diving, Caleb Herrick swept the boards on the men's side with a 3-meter score of 317.10 and a 1-meter score of 351.00.
The order repeated itself in the men's 3-meter as Foo earned 301.20 points for second place, Stoppelmoor was awarded 286.28 points, and Crayne held 278.33 points.
Kersten Merry topped the Utah women's diving effort with a win in the 1-meter (299.33) and second-place in the 3-meter (246.75).

Next week, the Utes travel to West Lafayette, Ind., Nov. 16-18 to compete in the Purdue Invitational.
