SALT LAKE CITY - After more than a month away from competition, the University of Utah swimming and diving team jumps back into the pool against Denver on Friday at 5 p.m. at Ute Natatorium.
The meet was originally scheduled for 6 p.m.
Utah's women's team take on Oregon State on Saturday at 1 p.m.
The Utah men's swimming & diving team is 5-1 this season with their only loss coming by only three points at 16th-ranked UNLV. Both the Utah men's and women's teams beat BYU on Dec. 1 at Ute Natatorium and the Ute men also picked up a win at Arizona State on Dec. 16.
Sophomore Nick Soedel was named the CollegeSwimminmg.com Swimmer of the Week for his effort against Arizona State and sophomore Kersten Merry and junior Caleb Herrick earned the Pac-12 Diver of the Month awards for December. Merry and Herrick are the first-ever Utes to earn the recognition.
Freshman Bence Kiraly broke a 24-year-oly school record to become the fastest Ute in history in the 500 free.
