SALT LAKE CITY – The University of Utah women’s swimming & diving team gained national attention by receiving votes in the most recent College Swimming Coaches Association of America (CSCAA) Division 1 Team Rankings, released on Jan.30 by CollegeSwimming.com.

The Utes were one of only five other teams to receive votes and marks the first time this season the Utah women have received CSCAA votes.

The Utes defeated Denver and Oregon State Jan. 18-19 in back-to-back meets at Ute Natatorium.

The Pac-12 Conference made took up large portion of the poll, taking six of the top 25 positions and three of the top four slots. Pac-12 recognition included USC (1), Stanford (2), Arizona (5), Cal (7), UCLA (12) and Arizona State (23).

The team rankings are voted on by nine CSCAA-member coaches and one media member.
