SALT LAKE CITY - With the Pac-12 Championships fast approaching, Utah Men's Swimming and Diving welcomes No. 4 USC to Ute Natatorium this weekend in their final duel meet of the season. The meet is split into two days of competition and will commence Friday at 6 p.m. and Saturday at 12 p.m.

"We are very excited to host the No. 4-ranked team in the country," said Utah head coach Greg Winslow. "This will be a great challenge before we dive into the Pac-12 championships. I know the guys are excited and we hope everyone comes out to support our final men's home meet of the 2013 campaign."
Utah Men This Season
Utah Men's Swimming and Diving enters the weekend with a 5-2 dual meet record. The team has captured one Pac-12 victory this season over Arizona State.
Utah sophomore Nick Soedel earned CollegeSwimming.com's Swimmer of the Week on Dec. 20. Soedel swept the sprint freestyle events against Arizona State to earn the title.
Caleb Herrick became the Utes first-ever men's Pac-12 Diver of the Month in December. Herrick grabbed a win in the 1-meter against BYU and second place in the 1-meter at ASU.
Top 2012-2013 NCAA Times
Utah Men's Swimming and Diving last competed Feb. 1 at USAFA, Colo. against Air Force where they topped the Cadets 136-103.
Scouting the Competition
USC is currently ranked fourth in the nation by CollegeSwimming.com. The Trojans have been ranked as high second this season and as low as eighth.
On Feb. 8, UCS fell to No. 6 Cal 175.5-120.5, but turned around to top No. 9 Stanford the following day (156-139).
The Pac-12 Championships will be held at Weyerhaeuser King County Aquatic Center in Federal Way, Wash. beginning with the women's championships Feb. 27-March 2. The men's championships will immediately follow, running March 3-6.
