Pac-12 Women's Championships

Last Time Out

The Utah women head into the conference championships riding the momentum of three consecutive wins. The Utes' most recent victory came on Feb. 15 against Washington State, 157-105.

The 2012 Pac-12 Championships

Last season at the Pac-12 Championships, the Utes collected 485 points to place seven out of nine teams. The Utah women bested Oregon State (326.5) and Washington State (239.5).

Traycie Swartz broke three Utah school records over the three-day championships, the 50 free, the 100 back and the 100 free. Thirteen other swims ranked in the top-10 all-time for Utah.

Scouting the Competition

The women's squad will face five ranked teams this weekend, including USC (1), Cal (2), Stanford (4), UCLA (14) and Arizona State (25).

Cal stands as the reining conference and back-to-back NCAA champion. The Golden Bears have taken the conference title two of the last four years and have earned the national title three times during that span.

Stanford stands as the all-time Pac-12 (Pac-10) champion, earning 18 conference titles since 1987.

Pac-12 Men's Championships

Last Time Out

The Utah men dropped their final dual meet to No. 6 Stanford, Saturday at Ute Natatorium (183-102). The Utes grabbed two wins over the two-day competition, with Josiah Purss topping the 3-meter dive (375.90) and the Utah 400 free relay team touching in a victory (2:58.49).

2012 Pac-12 Championships

The Utah men hit their stride just in time for the Pac-12 Championships last year and drew a fifth-place overall finish, topping USCB, Arizona State and Cal Poly.

Every Utah relay record was shattered at the championships, while Ken Tiltges, Karson Applin and Major Robinson all triumphed with individual school records. Nineteen other Utah swims ranked in the top-10 all-time.

Scouting the Competition

Four ranked teams will be in attendance at the Men's Pac-12 Championships, including Cal (2), USC (4), Stanford (7) and Arizona (10).

Stanford and Cal are the teams to beat, with the Cardinal capturing 31-consecutive Pac-12 Championships and the Golden Bears standing as back-to-back reining NCAA champions.

Utes Next Time Out

The NCAA Zone Diving Championships are up next for the Utes. The event will be held March 14-16 in Colorado Springs, Colo.
