Former Ute heptathlete Erianne Allen joins the track and field coaching staff this season as a graduate assistant. During her four years in a Ute uniform, Allen notched several top finishes and honors. She holds the Utah school record with a heptathlon score of 5,264 points. Allen was also a member of the 400- and 1,600-meter relay teams that rank first in school history.
Allen was a two-time all-conference honoree in the heptathlon and was the 11th-best American finisher at the 2002 NCAA Track and Field Championships. She was a four-time academic all-conference award winner and in 2002 was named to the Verizon Academic All-America District VIII team.
Allen, a native of Woodland Hills, Utah, brings coaching experience with her, as she was an assistant director of athletic camps and conferences for the College of Eastern Utah. She holds a bachelor's degree in exercise and sport science, and is currently pursuing an MBA from the U.
