SEATTLE, Wash. – On the first day of the Husky Classic, the Utah track and field team showed tremendous effort that resulted in solid performances. The Utes were led by the sixth-place finish of Anneli Stahl, in the weight throw.
I was pleased today,” Utah head coach Kyle Kepler stated. “I was excited for how we competed. Even though we did not pile up the PR’s we had some good performances. I am really proud of how they did today and for the tremendous effort they showed.”
In the 5000m, sophomore Susannah Hurst led the Utes finishing 28th. Hurst battled hard throughout the entire race continually alternating being at the front of the lead pack to the middle and back to the front.
