Rose on why he chose Utah:

I love the Salt Lake area, the campus and the baseball facilities. The coaches are great and I have always wanted to play in the Pac-12.

Granite Hills High School Coach James Davis on Rose:

"Jayson is the definition of quiet intensity. A player of few words, but a love of the game that is unmatched. He is a true baseball rat. Jayson has been a fixture in our program, not only with his arm, but also with his bat. He has been a big part of our success here at Granite Hills. I'm sure he will do great things for Utah in the coming years."
