2013 Area Code Games
2013 Honorable Mention All-Diablo Valley League
Contra Costa Times Star of the Week (4/25) after throwing a complete game shutout in a 2-0 win over the defending league champion

Johnson on why he chose Utah:

"I chose Utah because of the great campus and college feeling. I was impressed with the coaching staff and I wanted to play in the Pac-12, one of the best conferences in the country."

Northgate High School Coach Tim Jochner on Johnson:

"The big difference with Spencer is you get a big, athletic player, not just your typical pitcher. He is a multi-sport athlete who has now focused just on pitching. That athleticism on the mound is a huge benefit and I expect Spencer to have a long, successful career."
