SALT LAKE CITY - The Utah baseball team continues in Pac-12 play at Oregon with a three-game series, beginning on Friday, March 23.
The Utes opened conference play last weekend with a solid performance against USC, taking two of the three games to win the series. During their midweek game, the team fell to Sacramento State, 6-2.
"Every weekend in the Pac-12 is a challenge for us, and this weekend will be no exception," Utah head coach Bill Kinneberg said. "We'll go up there and play hard, and take it one pitch at a time. I am pleased with our effort, but we have to keep working on ourselves. We're a work in progress right now."
Oregon is 13-5 on the year, but dropped two of three to Washington in its conference opener last weekend. The Ducks are ranked 24th by Baseball America.
Utah will start Joe Pond in game one for the Utes, facing Oregon senior righty Alex Keudell.
