SALT LAKE CITY - The Utah baseball team travels to Berkeley this weekend to continue Pac-12 play against California, with the three-game series beginning on Friday, March 28, at 7:00 p.m. PT. The series continues with a pair of games televised on the Pac-12 Networks on Saturday, March 29, at 7:00 p.m. PT, and Sunday, March 30, at 12:00 p.m. PT.
The Utes (9-14, 0-6 Pac-12) have played both of the conference's top-ranked teams, facing both sixth-ranked Oregon State and 11th-ranked Oregon in their first two weekends in conference play. Utah dropped three tough games against the Ducks last weekend by one run, three runs and two runs over the weekend.
"We have to get back on the field and play hard," Utah head coach Bill Kinneberg said. "That's the bottom line. There's not a lot of difference between teams in this league, and every weekend we have to be at the top of our game. Every game we play we work on getting better."
California is 11-12 overall on the year and 0-3 in the Pac-12, with three losses to 18th-ranked UCLA. The Golden Bears have dropped seven of their last eight games, which included seven games against ranked teams.
