SALT LAKE CITY - The Utah baseball team travels to Arizona to face the defending NCAA champions this weekend, beginning on Thursday, March 28, at 6:00 p.m. MST. The series continues on Friday, March 29, at 6:00 p.m. MST and Saturday, March 30, at 12:00 p.m. MST. Please note that since Arizona does not observe daylight savings time, the games are at 7:00 p.m. MDT and 1:00 MDT in Utah.

The Utes (12-10) have won four of their last five games, winning midweek games against Utah Valley and BYU and taking two of three from Stanford last weekend.

Dallas Carroll won Utah's first-ever baseball Pac-12 Player of the Week award this week. He hit .412 for the week (7-for-17) with two doubles, five RBI and a stolen base against Utah Valley and Stanford.

Utah is second in the Pac-12 in triples (11) and stolen bases (39).

Arizona is 15-11 on the season. The Wildcats have struggled to start Pac-12 play, going 0-6 in series against Oregon State and Oregon.

"[Arizona's] Pac-12 record isn't indicative of who they are and where they are going to be," Utah head coach Bill Kinneberg said. "They are a quality team. We will have to play well this weekend."

Utah will start Mitch Watrous on the mound on Thursday, followed by Joe Pond on Friday and Dalton Carroll on Saturday.
