"We've got another tough weekend ahead of us - every weekend is a challenge in this league," Utah head coach Bill Kinneberg said. "With our injuries, we are moving people around. I was hoping to play [the Bees exhibition game] to get more innings for some of our reserves. We need to get back on track playing at home."

The Utes are 12-13 overall and 2-7 in the Pac-12. Utah is second in the Pac-12 in triples (12) and stolen bases (47), and tied for second in pickoffs (6).

Washington State is 16-11 overall and 3-3 in the Pac-12.

Utah will start Mitch Watrous on the mound on Friday followed by Dalton Carroll on Saturday and Joe Pond on Sunday.
