SALT LAKE CITY - The Utah baseball team travels to sixth-ranked Oregon State this weekend for a three-game series beginning on Friday, April 12 at 5:30 p.m. PT. The series continues on Saturday, April 13, at 2:00 p.m. PT and Sunday, April 14, at 12:00 p.m. PT.

Utah (14-14, 4-8 Pac-12) took two out of three games from Washington State last weekend for its second Pac-12 series win of the season. With 14 victories, Utah has matched its wins total from last season.

Oregon State (25-6, 7-2 Pac-12) is ranked sixth in the latest Baseball America poll. The Beavers fell to 16th-ranked Oregon, 6-3, in their last outing on Tuesday, and took two of three from UCLA last weekend.

"They are the most complete team that we have played this year," Utah head coach Bill Kinneberg said about Oregon State. "Their pitching is outstanding and they have the premier hitter in the country in Michael Conforto. This is a World Series-level team we are going to play. They present a tremendous challenge for us, and we're looking forward to it."

Utah will start Mitch Watrous on the mound on Friday and Dalton Carroll on Saturday. Tanner Banks will start on the mound in Sunday's game, returning to action after suffering a broken finger against Saint Mary's in early March.

"It's great to have Tanner back," Kinneberg said. "We'll put Joe Pond in the bullpen and that will really add some depth for us in the later innings."
