SALT LAKE CITY - The Utah baseball team continues its weekday series against BYU on Tuesday, May 6, with the Utes and Cougars squaring off in Provo at 6:00 p.m. MT. The game will be televised live on BYUtv.

The Utes and Cougars play four times this season, with two games in Provo and two games in Salt Lake. The four games account for three total points in the Deseret First Duel rivalry series between Utah and BYU. The Utes have already clinched the overall sports title this season with a 41-6 lead with just baseball remaining. BYU has won the first two games of the series. In the first game in Provo on March 4, BYU won 20-3. In game two in Salt Lake on March 25 the Utes fell 4-3 in 11 innings.

Utah is 13-28 overall and 3-18 in the Pac-12. The Utes were recently swept in a three-game series against seventh-ranked Washington, with Utah setting season-highs for runs, hits and home runs in a wild game three 21-17 loss.

BYU is 18-27 overall and 8-13 in the West Coast Conference. The Cougars have won four of their last six games.

Utah continues on the road this weekend in Pac-12 play with a three-game series against Washington State beginning on Friday, May 9. WSU is 20-23 and 10-11 in the Pac-12, and recently took two of three against USC.
