SALT LAKE CITY - The Utah baseball team closes out both its home and Pac-12 schedules this weekend with a three-game series against Stanford, beginning on Friday, May 18, at 6:00 p.m. at Spring Mobile Ballpark.

Utah has won two of its last four games. The Utes (14-35, 7-20 Pac-12) had a strong weekend against Oregon State, winning one of three in three one-run games and two extra-inning contests. On Tuesday, Utah snapped Utah Valley's nation-leading 32-game win streak with an 11-10 victory.

"We have played pretty good baseball the last two weeks," Utah head coach Bill Kinneberg said. "We've gotten beat up this year, and for us to play the way we've played the last couple of weeks, I'm proud of this group."

The Cardinal (33-14, 14-10 Pac-12) is ranked 17th in the latest Baseball America poll and 11th by the Baseball Writers Association. Friday night starter Mark Appel is a potential No. 1 draft pick.

Utah will celebrate Senior Night on Friday, and will recognize seniors James Brooks, Shaun Cooper, Blake Golding, Tyson Gonzalez, Gavin Green, Kesley Kondo, Jo Jo Sharrar, and manager Steve Joyce in a pregame ceremony.

Wear black for Friday's game as part of Black Friday to receive free admission. The Utes are also hosting Youth Night. Saturday is Armed Forces Day, and present a military ID to receive free admission.

The Utes close out the regular season next weekend on the road with four non-conference games, two each against UC Santa Barbara and Cal State Bakersfield.
