SPRINGDALE, Ark. - Former Utah baseball player C.J. Cron has been selected as a starter for the 2013 Texas League All-Star Game.

Cron, who is playing with the Double-A Arkansas Travelers, leads the team in batting average (.293), RBI (35), doubles (18) and hits (70). He has five home runs with a .439 slugging percentage. Cron is tied for fourth in the Texas League in doubles and ranks fifth in hits.

The game will be played at Arvest Ballpark in Springdale, Arkansas, on June 25th. Votes were cast by managers, beat writers and broadcasters from each Texas League city.

Cron was a first-round draft pick in 2011.
