Utah rising sophomore Bret Helton was recently named to the West Coast League All-Star Game.

Helton is playing with the Walla Walla Sweets and will represent the North Division in the All-Star Game. He currently ranks second in the league with a 1.69 ERA and ranks tied for ninth with 28 strikeouts. Helton is 2-0 on the year in five games with four starts, throwing 26 2/3 innings.

Last season for the Utes, Helton pitched in four games while starting seven games in the field. He pitched one inning with two strikeouts in Utah's shutout of USC and had eight strikeouts over 7 2/3 innings pitched during the season.
