Ogata on why he chose Utah:
"I chose the University of Utah because I felt like I was instantly accepted into the program and that everyone in or around Utah truly cared about me and the team. Being on campus and meeting the coaches gave me a feel of what Utah was all about and I quickly realized it was the place for me."
Bishop Kelly High School Coach Bobby Sutcliffe on Ogata:
"We are honored and blessed that Bowen Ogata has signed his NLI with the University of Utah family. It has been our vision over the last 12 years to develop our players at Bishop Kelly and excel in spirit, body, and mind. I have not coached a player with a greater work ethic or dedication to these traits. Athletically, Bowen has rewritten the record books in our school and the Treasure Valley."
