Senior day a success for the Runnin' Utes
Jarred DuBois transferred to Utah from Loyola Marymount University and will be eligible to play immediately after receiving his degree in Communications. He will have one year of eligibility remaining.
Prior to Utah
Stamped his name all over the LMU record books, reaching the Top 25 in several statistical categories despite playing only three full seasons...in 96 career games, scored 1,139 points to rank 23rd all-time...also ranks fourth in career 3-pointers made (148), fifth in free throw percentage (.844), 15th in 3-point FG percentage (.365), 15th in steals (117), 17th in assists (233), 21st in assists average (2.4) and 22nd in free throws made (259)...was the fourth-leading scorer for the Lions last season, posting 10.1 points per game to go with 2.6 rebounds and 2.1 assists per contest...knocked down a team-best .875 (56-of-64) at the free throw line and helped LMU to a quarterfinal appearance in the College Invitational Tournament...was named to the West Coast Conference All-Freshman Team in 2008-09...a preseason all-WCC choice in 2009-10.
Graduated from Westchester High School after leading the squad to a 29-5 overall record and 11-1 in league play...helped lead WHS to a 26-7 record as a junior...team advanced to the Southern California Regional Finals, where they fell to eventual state champion Fairfax High School...two-time first-team All-Western selection, a two-time Daily Breeze All-Area team selection and a two-time Los Angeles All-City choice...averaged around 16 points, three assists, four rebounds and two steals in his final two seasons.
Jarred DuBois is the son of Sharon and Gary DuBois... father played football and baseball at Cowley County Community College... has two brothers and one sister... gave Christmas gifts to all the special needs students at Westchester High School...born on April 16, 1990...is pursing a master's degree at Utah in communications, after receiving his bachelor's in communications at LMU.
