Utah Head Coach Ray Giacoletti
"You can't give up 16 offensive rebounds and expect to win or be successful."

On the mass substitutions - "Effort. Straight on effort. I can still at 44 go give a great effort, maybe not for very many trips, but an effort. Those guys went in and did it. Casey Iverson gave us great effort and effort is all you're looking for. It's not that difficult. It's part of just being a competitor. As long as I've been in it that is how it's been."

On motivation for starting two big men - "Just to find a way to punch another button and be successful."

On where the team goes from here - "Back to practice Monday, watching tape and try to get better. There's no place to go. We still have more than half the conference season left to try and get better and go from there. Luke had a double-double tonight. You try to look for bright spots."

Utah Guard Casey Iverson
"We've shown signs of giving up in past games and I think we tried to fight to the end tonight, which we haven't done in the past. With every loss you have to take the positive from it, and I think that is one thing we can take from this loss; it's that we fought to the end and gave it all we have. We have to come back Monday and make some adjustments and go from there."

"I think some of our guys were tired. I think it was a mixture of fatigue and frustration and we just needed a change. To try to get a change, and that is what we tried to provide for some of the starters that started the second half."

Utah Center Luke Nevill
"We want to give a good effort every time. I think we need to work on starting off the game strong, getting a lead and keeping it. Some of the games it seems we don't go as hard at the start and ease our way into it, and that is going to make it harder for us to catch up in the end. We did have a good effort midway second half to try and pull ourselves back in the game, but we just couldn't crawl our way back."

"I think we'll give a good effort no matter what, we're never going to give up. We're going to try and beat our opponent no matter how far we're down by, so I think that is something we are improving on."

UNLV Head Coach Lon Krueger
"This is a great win and I'm just happy for our guys, they really played hard tonight. This is a good win for Rebel fans, because it has been a while since we beat these guys. We played well in the first-half and made our free-throws down the stretch."

"Louis (Amundson) and Jason (Petrimoulx) are playing terrific basketball right now. We did a good effort rebounding the ball and I thought we did an even better job in the second-half."
