Recap |  Box Score |  Notes

Utah Head Coach Ray Giacoletti:
"I'll take the blame. We were not ready to play and when you're not ready to go something can turn and bite you. On the last three [of the second half] we did everything right. We switched every screen and he [Sean Morris] just hit a tough shot."

"Luke gave us a good inside presence, Jonas hit some big shots to get us back into it but we just can't turn it over 21 times."

Utah Center Luke Nevill:
"I think right from the get-go we didn't bring the same intensity and same basic effort that we did the last few games. I think we thought this might be an easy game for us. We have a better record than them so we thought that we'd might come in here and get an easy game off our back, but it wasn't the case. They pretty much outworked us."

Utah Forward Jonas Langvad:
"Coach told everyone to step it up in the second half. I noticed in the first half I had some open looks so at halftime I told myself to shoot it to help out the post. They did a great job of taking us out of our offense. They forced turnovers and had us scouted really good, and it was hard to get something going."

Utah Guard Johnnie Bryant:
"The intensity wasn't there and we just have to find a way to get focused and come out on Saturday cause we have a tough game with Air Force. He [Sean Morris] got it going over there last month, and he hit some tough shots and they got the win."

CSU Head Coach Dale Layer:
"I thought Sean Morris sure bailed us out of some tough jams there, with three straight threes; one that put us into overtime and two in overtime. He was sick and he's been struggling from the field, and it was great to have him break out and give us a terrific game."

"I thought our defensive effort was quite possibly the best of the year. Utah came in really well and it probably took as good of a game as we've had all year to beat them.

"We had a real tough stretch, and we have to give our guys great credit for persevering, hanging in there, working hard every day, and playing with huge hearts."
