Utah Head Coach Larry Krystkowiak
"It was one of those games where we had a couple of good looks and missed them, then all of a sudden we were about as selfish as we have looked in the first half as I've seen us in a long time. We had guys that beat people through the dribble and they would go in with a couple of shot-blockers coming their way and insisted on shooting it instead of making an extra pass. It wasn't the kind of basketball that we needed to be playing."
On playing a better second half
"It has been a long time since we scored 52 points in the half and I realize the game was kind of out of control but we still got the ball inside to start with, and watched Jason (Washburn) and Javon (Dawson) give us a big lift. We made more passes, guarded and played the game more of the right way."
"I thought we came light years from the first time we played Oregon State in that we didn't turn it over to where we had to defend those turnovers. This time we made a couple of passes, and got worn down but then we stayed on that same fast pace instead of somebody putting the ball under their arms and getting us into the offense and going. That's the next phase of beating pressure and not continuing to be sped up like we were. It's one of the those things we learn from."
