-True freshman forward Jordan Loveridge began his collegiate career with a double-double, scoring a game-high 18 points and tying for game-high honors with 10 rebounds. Loveridge went 8-of-13 from the field and added four assits.
-Sophomore center Dallin Bachnynski also began his career with a double-double, racking up 11 points on 3-of-4 from the field and 5-of-9 from the free throw line, while tying for game-high honors with 10 boards.
-The last time two Utah players posted a double-double in the same game was March 19, 2005 against Oklahoma in the second round of the NCAA Tournament. In that game, Andrew Bogut scored had 10 points and 11 rebounds while Justin Hawkins had 20 points and 14 rebounds.
-Prior to tonight's game, the last player to tally a double-double in his Utah debut was Bogut with 15 points and 16 rebounds against Georgia State on Nov. 17, 2003.
-True freshmen Justin Seymour and Dakarai Tucker tallied double digits as well, scoring 16 and 15 points, respectively. Loveridge, Seymour and Tucker were the top three scorers in the game and combined for 49 points on 19-of-31 from the field (.613), including 5-of-11 from 3-point range (.455) and a perfect 6-of-6 at the free throw line. They also combined for 19 rebounds and nine assists.
-Seymour and Loveridge each knocked down the first shots of their collegiate careers. Seymour made a three-pointer in the corner followed by a Loveridge jump-hook in the lane. Loveridge and Seymour each earned starting spots in their first collegiate game.
-Junior guard Glen Dean also made the first shot of his Utah career, a corner three-pointer, while junior forward Renan Lenz went 3-for-3 at the free throw line on the first attempts of his Utah career. Dean finished with 10 points and four assists while Lenz tallied five points, four rebounds and two assists.
-Senior center Jason Washburn was the sixth Ute in double digits, scoring 12 points on 6-of-7 shooting, while grabbing eight rebounds and blocking three shots.
-The 57-point margin of victory was the largest by a Utah squad since defeating American University-Puerto Rico by the same margin (94-37) on Nov. 23, 2000.
-Utah eclipsed the 100-point mark for the first time since defeating Cal State Fullerton, 108-58, on Dec. 27, 1995. That game was also played at the Huntsman Center.
-Utah improved to 38-7 all-time in home openers at the Jon M. Huntsman Center. The Utes have now won their season debut for the third consecutive year.
-Tonight's game vs. Willamette counted as a regular season contest for Utah, but is an exhibition game for Willamette, due to NCAA Div. III restrictions on season start dates.
