Utah head coach Jim Boylen
Thoughts on the game:
"I think our depth and scoring off the bench was the difference for us tonight. Jordan Cyphers, Shaun Green and Tyler Kepkay came up big with over 40 points. That's what I envision our team being. A good starting five, a good bench and a team that shares the ball. I'm really proud of my team tonight."
"We thought we had to limit their transition offense, their transition three's and their offensive rebounds. They had eight offensive boards in the first half but only two in the second, which was a big difference.
On the team's shooting performance:
"We're getting better every day. I feel we are a good shooting team. We didn't shoot very well against Green Bay but tonight we were able to hit shots."
On Jordan Cyphers' night:
"That's why we recruited him, for his shooting. He has really improved his defense too. I am definitely confident putting him in the game."
On holding the lead down the stretch:
"When we have the lead under three minutes, we are a pretty good team, traditionally. Even last year we did a good job with the lead down the stretch."
Senior forward Shaun Green
"I think their main concern was Luke tonight, so there were a lot of open shots out there. We hit them, so that allowed Luke to go to work in the second half.
On his shooting performance:
"Our team and coaches told me to just keep shooting. I wasn't missing by much (the first two games). In the second half, I just felt other guys had more open shots. Our game plan was to move the ball and execute our offense. When we do that, we are a hard team to beat."
Senior guard Lawrence Borha
"We shot with confidence tonight. We knew we would have some open shots and we were able to get it going."
Freshman guard Jordan Cyphers
On his career shooting night
"Coach says when I have an open shot, shoot it. Tonight the shots were open. Everything was going right, I was open, my team found me and I knocked them down."
On what `clicks' for a shooter
"It's usually that first shot. Tonight I missed the first one but I just stayed positive, stayed focus and made my shots. You just have to move on to the next play and keep working."
