Utah Thanksgiving Tournament
Game 2: Utah 57, Idaho State 46
-Sophomore center Dallin Bachynski posted his second double-double in three games with career highs of 22 points and 16 rebounds. Bachynski's 22 points came on 9-of-15 from the floor and 4-of-5 from the free throw line. His previous career highs were 11 points and 10 rebounds in his first double-double effort against Willamette.
-Bachynski became the first Ute to score 20 points in a game this season. The last Ute to score 20 or more was senior center Jason Washburn, who had 26 at Oregon on Mar. 3, 2012. Bachynski is the first Utah player to collect 15 or more rebounds in a game since Luke Nevill had 15 vs. San Diego State, Mar. 14, 2009, in the MWC Championship game.
-Bachynski has been Utah's leading rebounder or tied for the lead in all three games this year.
-Freshman forward Jordan Loveridge posted a career-high 12 rebounds to go with seven points. He also dished out four assists, tying for game-high honors. It was the second time this year that Loveridge and Bachynski each posted double digit rebounds in the same game.
-Senior wing Cedric Martin tied for the game high in assists with four. He also added two rebounds and a steal while sinking his only shot of the contest, a 3-pointer.
-Junior guard Glen Dean finished with 11 points and has now scored double digits in all three games this year.
-The Utes held Idaho State to just 46 points, including only 17 in the second half. It was the fewest points scored by a Utah opponent since Arizona State could muster only 43 on Jan. 21, 2012, in the Huntsman Center. Utah held the Bengals to just 30.6% shooting for the game (15-of-49), including 12.5% from 3-point range (2-of-16). ISU shot just 19.2% in the second half (5-of-26), going 0-of-9 from beyond the arc.
