Harvard 75, Utah 47 - Postgame Quotes

Utah Head Coach Larry Krystkowiak
"I watched lot of Harvard tape before this game and I think it's a great program coach Amaker has put together. They seem to have all the pieces to the puzzle, they have a post presence and shooters; their guys make simple plays. They move together and they play together on both ends of floor. Maybe in years past it would have been a good draw to play Harvard in the first round, but right now they look like a well-oiled machine and I think they could have a really successful year. I would not be surprised to see them make more noise in this tournament."

"We decided play straight up to begin with, we played a little zone, trying keep ball out of post, but that ended up getting us. They had a nice little high-low game and we didn't have a very good presence on those post players. Then we went man and it was kind of ironic, they quit throwing the ball in to those guys and it became 3-point shooting exhibition. That's a lot of their team...they have those two threats going. The games I watched from last year, they always had answers for scoring points when things got taken away. The second half may have been a foregone conclusion but we were going to go down and trap in the post, but they didn't throw down there that often."

"The pace and tempo was not big concern for us. We have been struggling a little bit with our defensive transition but I think it has improved. We just had open shots...Jiggy probably missed his easiest shots and made his hardest one...we had open looks that we just didn't' make. The bottom line is that we can't the turn ball over as much as we did and give ourselves a chance against that good of a team. We didn't run as many sets as would have liked, but we were playing a little different lineup as well."
