SALT LAKE CITY - Center Michael Doleac led all scorers with 19 points as the University of Utah beat UC Irvine Saturday in mens hoops action, 83-45. The win kept the Utes' record at a perfect 7-0.
Doleac shot 6-10 and his 19 points came in just 20 minutes of play. Hanno Mottola scored 16 points for the Utes and Andre Miller had 10 points and four assists. The Utes outshot Irvine .627 to .319 and had a 36-19 rebounding advantage.
Irvine was led by Ben Jones' 14 points, with three treys. Adam Stetson chipped in with nine points.
The Utes go prime time on Tuesday, when they travel to face Providence. The game will be televised on ESPN, and is scheduled for 6:30 p.m.
