The University of Utah Men's Basketball team opened the exhibition season with an 60-56 victory over BC Albacomp from Hungary Thursday night in the Huntsman Center. Playing without senior center Michael Doleac, who missed the game due to illness, the Utes dominated the backboards and outshot the visitors from Hungary to take the win. Alex Jensen, playing in his first game since returning from a two-year church mission, led the attack with 13 points and 8 rebounds. Sophomore Hanno Mottola added 10 points and pulled down 7 rebounds. As a team the Utes outrebounded BC Albacomp 40-15 and outshot them from the field .490 to .417. Redshirt freshman, Nate Althoff, starting in place of Doleac had a nice debut going 3-6 from the field for 8 points and grabbing 4 boards. The Utes continue the exhibition season on Nov. 12 when they play the California All-Stars. Utah opens the regular season Nov. 15 when they host Cal State Fullerton.
