Utah vs. California - Quick Hits
• A big part of Utah's success this season has been its team defense. The Utes (59.7 ppg) are allowing seven points less than the national average (66.3).
• Utah leads the league by limiting its opponents to 37.2 percent shooting from the field. The Utes also rank second in the Pac-12 in opponents two-point field goal percentage (41.9%).
• Offensively, the Utes rank 13th nationally, tops in the Pac-12, in assisted basket percentage (64.0%) and are currently second in the league in assist to turnover ratio and third in three-point field goal percentage
• Utah won its first Pac-12 road game in program history with a 74-65 victory at Washington on Saturday. It was the first league loss for the Huskies this season who were 4-0.
• Cal has dropped two of three entering this game after a 69-59 setback at Stanford on Saturday. The Golden Bears are second in the Pac-12 in field goal defense (39.0%)
• Allen Crabbe currently leads the league in scoring at 19.8 points per game, 18th nationally. Backcourt mate Justin Cobbs ranks fourth in the league in assists at 4.1 per contest.

Last Time Out
Utah used a strong defensive performance and made huge baskets throughout the game to beat Washington, 74-65, It was the first road win for the Runnin' Utes since joining the Pac-12.
Jason Washburn scored 14 of his 18 points in the first half to get Utah off to a good start. Meanwhile, freshman Brandon Taylor added a career-high 19 off the bench to go along with a personal-best six assists. His classmate, Jordan Loveridge, finished with 17 points, five rebounds and four assists
The Utes handed Washington its first conference loss and won its first league game on the road since departing the Mountain West Conference (62-60 at New Mexico, 2/19/11).
Utah shot a terrific 60.4 percent from the field and held Washington to just 37.3 percent shooting. It's previous high in a Pac-12 game was 51 percent at Stanford (1/12/12).
Utah also set Pac-12 program records for most points (67 at Oregon State, 3/1/12,) and most assists with 18 (16 at Arizona, 2/11/12).
Washburn Working Way Up Charts
Washburn has notched double-doubles in three of the six conference games so far, averaging 14.7 points and 9.5 rebounds per game while shooting 58 percent from the field.
He currently ranks fourth in the league in rebounding, 14th in scoring, second in field-goal percentage and fifth in blocks during conference play. He has also scored in double figures during 11 of the last 12 contests.
Washburn has scored 878 points in his 108 career games. With at least 13 games remaining, including the regular season and Pac-12 Tournament, Washburn must average 9.4 points per game for the remainder of the season to become the 35th Ute to hit the 1,000-point plateau.
He is currently averaging 11.0 points per game after scoring at a career-best clip of 11.4 points per contest last year.
Loveridge Bounding up Pac-12 Leaderboard
Freshman Jordan Loveridge is currently one of the Pac-12's league leaders in rebounding at an average of 7.3 per contest, tops among the Utes. He also ranks seventh in the league with an average of 2.7 offensive rebounds per game
Over the last six games, Loveridge is averaging 14.1 points and 7.4 rebounds last eight games for the Utes. He currently ranks as one of the league leaders in scoring at 12.8 points per game, three-pointers per game (1.3) and minutes played (35.5)
The freshman poured in a career-best 24 points vs. Cal State Northridge. Prior to that performance his previous best was 22, which he combined with nine rebounds in the Utes' win over Wright State.
DuBois Getting it Done for Utes
Jarred DuBois, a senior transfer from Loyola Marymount, is currently the leading scorer for the Utes after scoring 20 or more in three games this season.
After his career-high, 25-point performance at SMU, he followed that up with a 21-point performance in a win at Texas State. He also led the Utes with 18 points in the win over Boise State and last weekend paced the Utes against USC.
DuBois has impressed in his first year with the club, averaging 12.5 ppg, 20th in the Pac-12. He also ranks second in the league in assist-to-turnover ratio and eighth in total helpers (3.4 apg).
DuBois is also one of the conference's league leaders in three-point shooting percentage (.418) and free-throw percentage (82.7)
Dean scored double digits in four of Utah's first five games this season, including 13 against Central Michigan, and recently had a 10-point effort at BYU. He is currently averaging 7.1 points per game.
Dean is one of the league leaders in three-pointers per game (1.44) and three-point percentage (36.6)
Bachynski Beats Up Bengals
Sophomore Dallin Bachynski racked up 22 points and 16 rebounds against Idaho State for his second double-double in his first three games as a Ute. He also had one assist, one block and one steal while playing 32 minutes.
Bachynski became the first Utah player this year to score 20 or more points and is the first Ute to grab 15 or more rebounds in a game since Luke Nevill had 15 against San Diego State in the MWC Tournament championship game on Mar. 14, 2009.
Bachynski's 20-and-15 double-double was Utah's first since Nevill had 23 points and 15 boards against Wyoming in the semifinals of the same tournament.
Huntsman Center History
The Runnin' Utes are 539-137 (.797) all-time in their current home, the Jon M. Huntsman Center, including a 7-4 mark this season. Utah has posted a winning record at the Huntsman Center in 41 of the 43 years of its existence.
Utah's benchmark 500th win in the 43-year old facility came on Dec. 6, 2008, as the Utes posted a 91-61 blowout of eventual Southeastern Conference champion LSU.
In conference home games over the last 17 years, Utah is 110-30 (.791). Utah got its first Pac-12 Conference victory in school history at home against Washington State, 62-60, in overtime.

Utah is 8-7 this season in televised contests. The Utes will play a minimum of 14 more live televised games this year, including every conference contest and each game played in the Pac-12 Tournament.
