SALT LAKE CITY - The Utah men's basketball program has announced the addition of Jake Connor for the 2014-15 season.

"Jake has always been someone around our program since Tommy is a member of our staff. Now, Jake officially joins our basketball family," head coach Larry Krystkowiak said. "He is a driven, hard worker that will enhance our program because he represents everything we want in a student-athlete. We're excited to have him join us."

Connor recently graduated from Highland High School where he was an all-state and all-region performer for the Rams. This past season, he averaged 15 points per game and finished as one of the state leaders in both 3-pointers made and percentage (45%).

Connor joins Jordan Loveridge (West Jordan) and incoming recruit Brekkott Chapman (Roy) as local products playing for the Utes. Another area standout, Parker Van Dyke (East) recently finished his first season before leaving on his mission.

Jake is the son of current Utes assistant coach, Tommy Connor, who was a four-year starter at point guard. During his time on the bench, Connor has assisted Krystkowiak and Rick Majerus.
