SALT LAKE CITY - A minimum of nine Utah men's basketball games will be aired on national or regional television this season, including two appearances on ESPN's "Big Monday." KJZZ-TV in Salt Lake City will originate eight additional games, giving the Runnin' Utes at least 17 games on television this season. (Click here for the complete 2004-05 schedule.)
Utah opens its Mountain West schedule on ESPN's "Big Monday," hosting UNLV on Jan. 10 at 10:00 p.m. (MST) in Salt Lake City. The Utes' other "Big Monday" appearance comes against in-state rival BYU in Provo on Jan. 31. Utah's opening game in the Great Alaska Shootout against Washington on Nov. 25 will be on ESPN2. Fox Sports Net will nationally televise Utah's game at Arizona on Dec. 11 at 11:00 a.m. (MST).
Utah will be featured four times on the ESPN+Plus Mountain West Conference "Game of the Week" this season. Utah's first two games on ESPN+Plus come against New Mexico in the Huntsman Center on Jan. 22 and at Air Force on Feb. 19. The Utes' final two games of the regular-season will also be on ESPN+Plus with home games against BYU on Feb. 26 and San Diego State on March 5. The ESPN+Plus "Game of the Week" airs at 1:00 p.m. (MST) and is shown on KJZZ-TV 14 in Salt Lake City.
KJZZ-TV will also televise eight Ute games locally. The KJZZ lineup includes road games against Utah State (Dec. 4), Wyoming (Jan. 15), Colorado State (Jan. 17), San Diego State (Feb. 5), UNLV (Feb. 7) and New Mexico (Feb. 21); and home games against LSU (Jan. 3) and Colorado State (Feb. 12).
