Utah News and Notes
Utah Hits 100-Point Mark for the First Time Since 1995
In Friday's 104-47 victory against Willamette, the Utes hit the 100-point plateau for the first time since racking up 108 points in a victory over Cal State Fullerton on Dec. 27, 1995. That victory also came in the Huntsman Center. Utah holds an all-time record of 100-5 when scoring 100 points or more.

Loveridge and Bachynski Both Debut with Double-Doubles
Loveridge and sophomore center Dallin Bachynski each posted double-doubles in their Utah debuts on Friday against Willamette. It was the first time that two Utes posted a double-double in the same game since March 19, 2005 against Oklahoma in the second round of the NCAA Tournament. In that game, Andrew Bogut scored had 10 points and 11 rebounds while Justin Hawkins had 20 points and 14 rebounds.

Loveridge poured in a game-high 18 points on 8-of-13 from the field including 2-of-4 from 3-point range, and tied for game-highs of 10 rebounds and four assists. It was the first time a freshman registered a double-double in his collegiate debut since Bogut posted 15 points and 16 rebounds against Georgia State on Nov. 17, 2003.

Freshman Class Makes Huge Debut vs. Willamette
Utah's top three scorers in the win against Willamette were all true freshmen: Loveridge (18 points), guard Justin Seymour (16) and wing Dakarai Tucker (15). The three combined for 49 points on 19-of-31 from the field (.613), including 5-of-11 from 3-point range (.455) and a perfect 6-of-6 at the free throw line. They also combined for 19 rebounds and nine assists.

Two other freshman made a significant impact in the game as well, with guard Brandon Taylor posting six points, two rebounds, one assist and a steal, while forward Jeremy Olsen had four points, six boards and a block in just seven minutes.

In all, Utah's freshmen accounted for 59 points and 28 rebounds.

Six Utes Score Double Figures for the First Time Since 2009
Utah had six players score double figures in Friday's win for the first time since Feb. 9, 2009, when six Utes hit double digits in an 80-70 win at Wyoming. The six Utes in double figures against Willamette were Loveridge (18), freshman guard Seymour (16), freshman wing Tucker (15), senior center Jason Washburn (12), Bachynski (11) and junior guard Glen Dean (10).

Utah Goes Strong to the Glass
The Utes out-rebounded Willamette, 55-29, with 16 offensive rebounds resulting in 21 second-chance points.

Getting Defensive
Utah held Willamette to just 22.1% shooting for the game (15-of-68), including just 17.1% (6-of-35) in the second half. The Utes also made six steals and blocked eight shots, including three rejections from Washburn.

Bigs on the Boards
Head coach Larry Krystkowiak would like Utah's big men to maintain a pace of approximately one rebound every four minutes. This space will be devoted to tracking that stat throughout the season for Utes standing 6-foot-6 or taller. Through one game, all six of Utah's `bigs' have exceeded this pace. Olsen (one rebound every 1.7 minutes), Bachynski (1.8), Washburn (1.9), Loveridge (2.7), junior forward Renan Lenz (3.25) and sophomore forward Xan Ricketts (3.0).

Huntsman Center History
The Runnin' Utes are 533-133 (.800) all-time in their current home, the Jon M. Huntsman Center, including a 1-0 mark this season. Utah's benchmark 500th win in the 43-year old facility came on Dec. 6, 2008, as the Utes posted a 91-61 blowout of eventual Southeastern Conference champion LSU.

Utah has posted a winning record at the Huntsman Center in 41 of the 43 years of its existence. Utah failed to post a winning record in 1972-73 (6-10) and 2011-12 (6-9).

In conference home games over the last 17 years, Utah is 110-29 (.791). The Utes went 3-6 in conference home games last season in their first year in the Pac-12. Utah got its first Pac-12 Conference victory in school history at home against Washington State, 62-60, in overtime.

The Runnin' Utes will appear on the Pac-12 Network a total of 24 times in the regular season. Utah will also play on ESPNU twice and make one appearance on FSN.
