Nov. 13, 2008
SALT LAKE CITY - The University of Utah men's basketball team officially completed its 2008 recruiting class Thursday as five players signed a National Letter of Intent to play for the Runnin' Utes in 2009.
"For the second year in a row we have recruited depth at every position while addressing our needs at the point," said Utah head coach Jim Boylen. "In both years we have brought in a player at every position and in most cases, versatile players who can help us in multiple spots. We continued our philosophy of recruiting defense, length and shooting ability, and I feel this class is strong in each of those aspects of the game."
The 2008 signing class is comprised of three high school seniors and two Junior College transfers. The class is a versatile one in many perspectives, from the individuals' athletic ability to their hometowns and playing backgrounds.
