Utah Athletic Teams Fare Well in NCAA APR


The NCAA announced its multi-year Academic Performance Report (APR) for NCAA Division I schools today and the University of Utah was again near the top of the Pac-12 for APR success. The APR accounts for eligibility, retention and graduation of all student-athletes on scholarship, and provides a measure of each team's academic performance.

Men's Basketball's Jeremy Olsen Goes on Medical Scholarship


Utah basketball coach Larry Krystkowiak and center Jeremy Olsen announced today that Olsen will be placed on a medical scholarship for his final season. Although Olsen is retiring from active competition due to injury, he will continue working with the team in a role to be determined while pursuing a graduate degree.

Crimson Club Announces 2015 Hall of Fame Class


The University of Utah will enshrine four former Ute athletes, one former coach, a contributor, and one team into the Crimson Club Athletics Fund Hall of Fame on Friday, Oct. 9 at Rice-Eccles Stadium & Tower. Honored at the 2015 Hall of Fame induction ceremony will be Jamal Anderson (football), Alex Jensen (men's basketball), Melonie Kent (softball), Angie Leonard (gymnastics), George Seifert (football coach), Kay and Zeke Dumke Jr. (contributor), and the 1998 men's basketball team that finished as the national runner-up.

Utah's Jakob Poeltl to Return for Sophomore Season


Utah freshman center Jakob Poeltl announced he would return for his sophomore season this morning.

Utah's Delon Wright Earns Bob Cousy Award


Utah senior Delon Wright was named the 2015 recipient of the Bob Cousy Award for the nation's top point guard this evening. He is the first Pac-12 player to win the award, which has been handed out every season since 2003-04.
