Utah Head Coach Kyle Whittingham
"They out coached us, both sides of the ball, special teams. They played harder than we did. It was even a miracle we were in the game after our first-half performance. The score should have been much worse at halftime than it was. We were able to keep it close and pulled even with them in the fourth quarter and actually had a chance, believe it or not, to win. Obviously, we didn't get it done. We didn't throw the ball well. We didn't run the ball well. Couldn't convert third downs offensively. We were two of 17 on third downs. Defensively, we hung in there for a while. They score on the blocked punt. That was another huge play in the game, a blocked punt for a touchdown. We did enough wrong in this game to last us a while."
On the play of Jon Hays:
"Jon came in and did some good things. I was proud of Jon Hays, how he came in and competed. He is a competitor. He is a guy who wants to win as badly as anybody."
On changing up the offensive line:
"Yeah, just trying to get the pass rush slowed down. We were giving up sacks."
