Utah had 557 yards of total offense (306 passing, 251 rushing), which is the highest offensive output this season.

True freshman Jordan Wynn earned his first start at quarterback for Utah. He is the third true freshman quarterback to start for Utah. Going 18-for-28 for 297 yards and two touchdowns, Wynn bettered both freshman quarterbacks that came before him in their first starts - Ken Vierra in 1981 (6-for-9 for 168 yards and a touchdown) and Scott Cate in 1982 (8-for-21 for 140 yards and a touchdown).
