Utah improved to 6-5 against Washington State overall and 4-1 in Pullman, Wash. This was the first overtime game in the series.

This was Utah's first overtime game since defeating Pittsburgh (27-24) on Sept. 2, 2010.

The Utes (7-4) are now assured of having at least seven wins in all seven seasons under head coach Kyle Whittingham.

Coleman Peterson went 3-for-3 on field goals to improve to 17-for-21 on the season. He made a 38-yarder to win the game in overtime. He also had 45-yard field goal (three yards shy of his season long) early in the fourth quarter to give Utah a 13-10 lead.

John White had 42 carries, which is the second-highest total in school history, for 186 yards, which is his second-highest total this season.

John White had his seventh 100-yard rushing game of the year, which ranks tied for third in a season at Utah. Utah is 7-0 when he rushes for 100 yards.

John White has 1,377 yards this season to rank third at Utah. Today he moved ahead of Darrell Mack (1,204 in 2007). Dameon Hunter is second (1,396 in 2001) and Carl Monroe ranks first (1,507 in 1982).

John White has 280 carries to rank second in a season at Utah. Today he surpassed Darrell Mack (253 in 2007) and Dameon Hunter (257 in 2001). The school record is 309 by Carl Monroe in 1982.

John White had two rushing touchdowns to give him 14 for the season, tying the school record set by Marty Johnson in 2004.

DeVonte Christopher led Utah in receiving with five catches for 83 yards.

Luke Matthews had his second receiving touchdown of the season.

John Hays improved to 5-2 as Utah's starting quarterback. He threw for 123 yards with no touchdowns and no interceptions. In his five wins this season, Hays has combined to throw for six touchdowns with no picks. In those wins, Utah is 15-of-16 in the red zone.

Mo Lee had a pair of interceptions in the game, including one to end Washington State's overtime possession. He has three interceptions for the season.

Eric Rowe has his first career interception in the first quarter.

Brian Blechen had his third interception of the season and the seventh of his career in the first quarter. It was his first pick since getting two in the season opener against Montana State.

Sean Sellwood threw a 49-yard touchdown pass on a fake punt in the second quarter to give Utah a 7-0 lead. Sellwood is 2-for-2 on passes this season for 66 yards.

Patrick Green recovered a fumbled punt return early in the fourth quarter at the Washington State 37-yard line that set up a touchdown to put Utah ahead 20-10. It was his first career fumble recovery.
