Utah head coach Kyle Whittingham
"Very happy for the seniors, we sent them out on a positive. This is a group that showed toughness and has fought through a lot of adversity this season. This group had a lot of character and great talent."
"We made the game more difficult than it needed to be. Credit Colorado, they hung in there. We had too many turnovers. We need to play a lot better and cleaner. Bottom line we got a win and it was great for the seniors to go out with a win."
"Trevor made plays for us for four years. Happy for him, he is a heck of a kid and has been through a lot off the field this season as we all know."
Utah wide receiver Dres Anderson
"It feels great to get a win. We have had a lot of close losses this year, and it was great to finally pull one out."
Utah tight end Jake Murphy
"At this point of the season you can't hold to all the negatives. I am happy for all the seniors to finish with a win. Our offense felt good and the defense played well. We need to get to work this off season and get better."
"At this point no. It is hard to want to leave an atmosphere like this especially after a win. I fell like next year we can do some damage in the Pac-12. But I will sit down with Coach Whittingham and talk about what would be the best thing for me to do."
Utah defensive tackle LT Tuipulotu
"I told the guys before the game that I didn't care if we lose, just told everyone to have fun. To be in the position to get the ball off the fumble was the best feeling I have had."
Utah defensive end Trevor Reilly
"To get the interception was personally nice, but it sealed the game which felt better. This week I played middle linebacker. We decided to mix it up and it worked for me. Credit to Kalani Sitake for that. I know the defense inside and out after playing in it for five years. The defense played great in the first half and gave up 17 in the second half, but we are very happy we won."
Utah quarterback Adam Schulz
"We came out hot then died down a bit. It was not necessarily anything they did, but at the end of the day we did well and the defense held them really well. We are moving forward and will take this as a positive. We sent the seniors off how they should go. However we didn't make a bowl game and should use this as motivation in the offseason."
Colorado head coach Mike MacIntyre
"I thought our kids had fought extremely hard, and I believe in the last two Pac-12 games that we outplayed our opponents decidedly in the second half and just came up short. Today was a good example of that. I've got to do a better job of getting us started. We had a couple of plays there we could have made and didn't. But I thought we played really hard. I thought we made some plays, could have made a few more, and I'm very--I don't know if `pleased' is the word--but I have a lot of hope in our fight, our focus and our intensity.
"The seniors were phenomenal. At halftime, they were like `we have one half left.' At the end of the third quarter, they were saying `we have one quarter left.' They just kept fighting and fighting, and the seniors were a big part of that with their leadership. I appreciate the attitude they had, because when the seniors buy in the other guys follow. They did buy in they did a lot of things."
"I do feel like we're taking steps in the right direction. I really, really do. This could have been one to help on the scoreboard also, but I didn't. So we have to keep moving on from here."
"When we got down to the one-yard line I thought we could punch it in and we didn't. We had another pass there where P Rich (Paul Richardson) was wide open there and the quarterback just barely under threw it, or that's a touchdown--could have been an interference call. We threw it another time and got an interference call. I don't know if we were too conservative there. Maybe the first time, but I thought we could punch it in but we didn't. In order to be a good red zone team, you have to be able to punch it in time after time after time. That's something that we're going to work on."
