Camp Week 3 Notes Get Acrobat Reader


Week 3 of Utah's 2012 spring football camp will feature a scrimmage on Saturday, Apr. 7 from 10 a.m.-noon in Rice-Eccles Stadium. Leading up to the scrimmage will be practices on Tuesday (3-5 p.m.) and Thursday (3-5 p.m.). Weather permitting, all practices and scrimmages are held in Rice-Eccles Stadium and are open to the public. Any practices moved inside are closed due to space issues.


The Utes will hold a 90-play scrimmage on Saturday in Rice-Eccles Stadium. The situational scrimmage will include four-minute offense, two-minute offense, red zone and backup/coming out offense among other drills ... A second scrimmage is scheduled for Saturday, Apr. 14 with the Red-White Spring Game concluding spring camp Saturday, Apr. 21 at 1 p.m. ... One position that will be under scrutiny in this week's scrimmage is rover linebacker, where Dave Fagergren, Victor Spikes and Jared Norris are still competing for the starting job.


The third-annual Ultimate Tailgate will be held on Saturday, April 21 before the Red-White Spring Game. The competition at this year's event will be for "best barbeque." Celebrity judges will rate the competing BBQs starting at 10:30 a.m. Spots are reserved in the Rice-Eccles Stadium west lot based on the size of the tailgate. Tailgate Registration
