> Utah (4-4, 1-4 Pac-12) has a bye this week before resuming action against No. 25 Arizona State (5-2, 3-1 Pac-12) on Saturday, Nov. 9 at 2 p.m. MT in Rice-Eccles Stadium. Arizona State plays this Thursday at Washington State. The Utah-ASU game will be televised on the Pac-12 Networks. Radio is ESPN700 AM. Satellite radio is Sirius/XM.

> Utah's all-time record coming off regular season byes is 94-39-6. Kyle Whittingham is 6-3 after regular-season byes and 0-1 this year with a loss to UCLA on Oct. 3. His victories came over Wyoming (2005, 2007), Colorado State (2006, 2009), New Mexico (2008) and Iowa State (2010). Losses were to Washington (2011), USC (2012) and UCLA (2013).
> The Utes have lost their last two games since beating No. 5 Stanford on Oct. 12. Since joining the Pac-12 in 2011, Utah is 8-15 overall in conference play, including a 5-7 home record and a 3-8 road mark.
> Utah and ASU have played two common opponents. Utah beat Stanford 27-21 and lost to USC 19-3. Arizona State lost to Stanford 42-28 and beat USC 62-41.
> Utah co-offensive coordinator Dennis Erickson was the head coach at ASU from 2007-11 and his team beat the Utes the last time the Sun Devils visited Salt Lake City in 2011. Erickson was the 2007 Pac-10 Coach of the Year in his first season at ASU.
> Utah trails the series with ASU 18-6 and has not beaten the Sun Devils since a 31-28 win in Tempe in 1976 when the two teams played in the Western Athletic Conference. The Utes have lost nine straight since then, including Pac-12 games in 2011 and 2012.
